A Place to Call Home

Dec 10, 2021

Hi, my name is Kim Lewis and I have been looking for a home my whole life. I have had many adventures and lived many places but none of them felt like home. Don’t get me wrong adventures are great, but home should have some balance and harmony. Anyway, I digress.

I have lived in this area for about a while now. I arrived here by way of Ireland and the Amazon Rainforest, but those places didn’t feel like home. Originally, I am from Illinois. The people are nice there but who wants to live in giant cornfield that goes on for days. I have been all over the world looking for a home. Then I found the Draper Valley. It is just amazing with it’s beautiful views, great hiking/biking trails and the New River to play on. This area is the perfect blend. How can you not love it here? It didn’t take me long to find the Draper Mercantile. Brian, Debbie, and the rest of the crew are so friendly that we hit it off right away!

Turns out we have a lot in common. Thee Draper Village is full of people looking to enjoy a happy health life! So, now I am starting a new endeavor here, teaching guided meditation in the Genesis Center at the Draper Mercantile at 6PM on Tuesday evenings! Please feel free to come and sit with us.

Between the gorgeous views, the nice people, and their open and honest interest in health on all levels, I have finally found the home. If you see me hanging around the Merc, as it is my favorite place, please come and say hello. I am looking forward to meeting you!

My New Life in Draper – KD

About ten years ago I visited a fellow in Draper I met at my job. I immediately realized Draper had a special feel to it. I had been in the area probably 20 years prior and remembered thinking, “wouldn’t this be a nice place to live.” I never thought about it again...

My boy Fred, I first laid eyes on you Sunday July 8th, 2018.  I had just finished a weekend workshop at the Well of Mercy in Harmony North Carolina. I came back a few hours early to participate in an opening ceremony for Blooms tea house in Draper, Virginia. At 9am I...
